Peggy works best when it knows what to look for. With Email Rules, you tell Peggy exactly which messages matter - no inbox scanning, no surprises.
Let’s break it down 👇
📩 What Are Email Rules?
Email Rules are filters you create to help Peggy find important updates — like permission slips, game schedules, and school newsletters — without reading your entire inbox.
You decide who or what Peggy should listen to:
A specific person (e.g., your coach)
A school’s domain (e.g.,
stlukesct.org
)A subject line (e.g., “Weekly Update”)
Privacy-first: Peggy only scans messages you allow. Nothing else.
⚙️ How to Set Up Your First Email Rule
Go to Settings
Tap on Email - Privacy Rules.
Tap the + Add a New Rule button.
Choose the type of rule you want to create (see below).
📘 Which Rule Should I Use?
By Domain
Use when: Messages come from a school or organization
Example: stlukesct.org
(no @ symbol)
By Email Address
Use when: You want to track messages from one person
Example: [email protected]
By Subject Line
Use when: The subject stays consistent
Example: “Weekly Classroom Update”
Best Practices for a Perfectly Automated Hub
Start with domains: Peggy auto-creates a rule for your selected school. Add others if needed (e.g., after-school apps).
Add key individuals: Like coaches or PTA heads
Don’t overdo it: Focus on the most important sources.es
Double-check for typos: One letter off and the rule won’t work
